| 1995 | Travels to Buffalo for the first time. Investigates and photographs the Buffalo grain elevators. | |

Travels to Buffalo twice to take
more photographs and to study construction plans and literature on the
grain elevators at Buffalo¹s City Hall and Buffalo and Erie County Public
Library, downtown branch.
Develops a concept and architectural plan to revitalize Concrete Central. [Built 1915-17, Concrete Central is one of the earliest types of elevators made from ranks of concrete cylinders rather than the traditional structures of wood, brick, or steel. The most monumental of all the thirteen extant elevators, according to the Buffalo Architecture Guide, it is also one of the most photographed, and therefore, one of best-known to European architects.] |
