The day you looked through me, 1999

With this image I love the free creativity of the child's mark making. It contrasts so much with my own longwinded way of making things – although in the end, I want the objects I make to have that sense of simplicity and inevitability. I like the imge's sense of innocent joy, of being temporarily displaced from a state of angst.
