In an effort to expand the information on the key concepts in this exhibition, a very unselective group of individuals was polled to get their thoughts on what the words: space, abstraction, figure, representation, landscape, and memory mean to them. Some of those questioned were individuals who work in the museum or think about art on a regular basis, and others were teachers, bank executives, lawyers, architecture students, and children. Please consider these words as the contributors did, before exploring the works of art, or as you explore the works from the Gallery's permanent collection.
