Extreme Abstraction

Friday, July 15 - Sunday, October 2

The Albright-Knox Art Gallery has a special relationship with abstract art. The Gallery was one of the first art institutions to collect and exhibit this ground-breaking art form in the 1920s, and the Gallery continued to do so with outstanding vigor, passion, and courage throughout the twentieth century. Now, at the beginning of the twenty-first century, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery presented Extreme Abstraction, an exhibition that investigated the continuing vitality of abstract art and this institution’s remarkable relationship with it.
