Karin Davie: Dangerous Curves
on view through Sunday, May 14, 2006
This exhibition is a survey of work done by Toronto-born artist Karin Davie.
The Albright-Knox Art Gallery is proud to be the first major museum to feature
her last fifteen years of cutting-edge abstraction. Davie explores the boundaries
between representation and abstraction with a style that acknowledges historical
precedents, especially abstract expressionism, without compromising her own
stylistic voice.
This exhibition is organized by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo,
New York.
This exhibition is made possible through the generous support of an anonymous
donor, Max and Ramey Caulkins, Judge and Mrs. John T. Elfvin, Gerald S. Lippes,
and The J.S. Ten Trust.
