The Artist's Take on the exhibition Petah Coyne: Above and Beneath the Skin

These audio files incorporate selected segments from two conversations between Senior Curator Douglas Dreishpoon and artist Petah Coyne. One conversation was held in 1999 in Clifton Hall during the installation of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery's work by Coyne, Untitled #978 (Gertrude and Juliana, The Whitney Women), 1999-2000. The other conversation was recorded in October 2003 in Coyne's installation for the special exhibition Materials, Metaphors, and Narratives for use in the exhibition's audio tour.
