Building a Portfolio Art Class

Monday, August 4–Friday, August 8, and Monday, August 11–Friday, August 15, 2014

This intensive, two-week art class, taught by an artist, is intended for students who are becoming serious about the visual arts and/or preparing for college applications. The emphasis will be on developing skills and style in drawing, painting, and sculpture.

We are offering two sessions: A morning session (9 am–noon) and an afternoon session (1–4 pm). Both sessions are open to students who will be entering grades 9–12 in September 2014.

Morning Session
August 4–8, and August 11–15, 2014, 9 am–noon
$175 general admission / $125 for Members

Registration is now closed. 


A limited number of scholarships are available both sessions. They will be awarded to students (entering grades 9–12) who can demonstrate financial need. Financial need can be demonstrated by a reduced lunch form, a letter from a social service agency or clergy member, or another document indicating combined family income is $35,000 or below. Scholarships generously provided by First Niagara.
