Our docent training class for 2008-09 has been filled and will start this fall. We will be taking applications in early 2010 for our next class which will take place in 2010-11. Please check our website for an application at that time.

Call for Docents

Do you love studying and discussing art? Do you like sharing your passion for art with others? You may want to consider becoming a docent! Docents are volunteers specially trained to guide groups on tours of the Gallery. Administered through the Education department, the program includes an intensive months-long training in art history.

The training course will take place on Thursday evenings from September 4, 2008 through January 29, 2009 from 6 - 9 p.m.

• Enthusiasm for art
• Love of sharing knowledge with people of all ages
• Ability to discuss rather than lecture
• Continuing quest for knowledge
• Commitment of two years after the training has been completed

You don't need a background in art history--that's what we're here for!
