Future Curators Teen Program
![]() |
Future Curators is a weekly after-school program for high school students in grades 11 and 12. During the course of the program, students learn about the behind-the-scenes work of a museum curator and organize an exhibition of artwork by young local artists.
Under the guidance of the Gallery’s Education department, students work with various staff members to prepare their exhibition. Participants are involved in every step of the process, including selecting artwork from a pool of submissions, writing interpretive text, organizing the exhibition’s layout, and planning an opening reception.
2012 Future Curators
The 2012 Future Curators are currently sifting through hundreds of their peers’ submissions to select artwork for their exhibition, which will be on view at the Gallery from Thursday, May 3, through Sunday, June 17, 2012.
