Tours

What kind of tour would you like? The Gallery offers free guided tours for K-12 school groups through our Art’scool program, self-guided tours for K-12 school and college groups, group tours for adults through our new Tour AK program, public tours, and verbal description tours. Learn more about each tour option below.

Public Tours

Public tours are led by Gallery-trained docents and are free with Gallery admission. Tours are offered on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 1:30 pm, and on Saturdays at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. Learn More

Guided School Tours

For K–12 Groups

(Includes Free Admission and a Bus Subsidy)
All guided school tours for K–12 groups are free, include a transportation subsidy, are guided by a Gallery-trained docent, and satisfy New York State Learning Standards. Learn More

Self-Guided School Tours

For K–12 and College Groups

Teachers may guide groups of students through the museum independently. Group admission fees apply. Bus subsidies are not available for self-guided groups. Learn More

Tour AK

(Adult Group Tours)

Group tours are led by Gallery-trained docents and can be arranged for groups of fifteen or more people. Group admission fees apply. Learn More

Verbal Description Tours

For Adults Who Are Blind or Partially Sighted

Participants enjoy a verbal description tour of select masterworks from the Gallery's Collection and special exhibitions, as well as a hands-on art activity. Learn More
