The Gallery is pleased to offer Verbal Imaging tours for visually impaired visitors. After completing training with orientation and mobility instructors from the Elizabeth Pierce Olmsted Center for the Visually Impaired and with an access coordinator from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a group of Gallery docents are ready to give these one-on-one descriptive, guided tours. As a part of these sensory-rich tours, visitors may touch specifically identified sculpture from the Gallerys permanent collection while wearing gloves to protect the artwork.
Two weeks advance notification for this tour is requested. To schedule a tour and for more information, please call 716.270.8249.
Expanded opportunities for visually impaired and hearing impaired visitors are made possible through the generous support of Charles E. Balbach.
