Members' Council

The Members’ Council is an active volunteer group at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, created by the Board of Directors of The Buffalo Fine Arts Academy in 1937. The Members’ Council exists to stimulate and maintain the public’s interest in Gallery activities.

The Members’ Council provides valuable volunteer hours and special arrangements for Members’ Previews of Gallery exhibitions.

The Council cosponsors the Gallery’s largest biennial fundraising event, Rockin’ at the Knox, a festive night of live music.

Members of this group benefit from the opportunity to volunteer at a world-renowned art museum, where they can enjoy an outstanding collection through special exhibitions and lectures.

Members also help create and develop future events, such as the recently developed Cookin’ at the Knox, when world-renowned chefs share cooking skills through demonstrations and food events at the Gallery.
