Adults of all levels of experience are invited to sign up for art classes at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum. Registration is required. All supplies are provided. Classes with low enrollment may be canceled.

Tipsy Crafts

Treat yourself! Join us for monthly make-and-take projects. Meet new crafters or sign up with a friend. Registration price includes one alcoholic beverage from Cornelia; nonalcoholic options are available. All supplies included.

Figure Drawing Workshops

Thursdays, April 11, 18, 25, from 6–8 pm (studio opens at 5:30 pm)

Informal life drawing sessions with a live nude model. Different gestures and poses offer a focused environment for studying the human form. Suitable for people with some prior experience. All supplies included. Sign up for an individual class or sign up for all three!

Intro to Oil Painting: Portraits

Three-Week Series, Ages 16+

Thursdays, May 16, 23, 30, from 6–8 pm

Create a portrait and learn about composition, color theory, and different stylistic approaches looking at works in the collection. Geared for intermediate-level experience. 

Watercolor: Botanical Studies

Three-Week Series, Ages 16+

Thursdays, June 13, 20, 27, from 6–8 pm 
$120 (Members save 15%!)

Geared for beginners. Learn to paint with watercolor taking inspiration from the natural world and works in the collection. No experience necessary.
