Art Discovery: Landscape Painting (Ages 12–14)
Monday, July 17–Friday, July 21, 2017, 1–4 pm

In this weeklong class, students will go outside the classroom and learn different painting techniques inspired by landscape works on view at the museum. Participants will have the opportunity to take their canvases outside and paint in Delaware Park. Register Online

Comic Book Illustration (Ages 12–14)
Monday, August 7–Friday August 11, 2017, 1–4 pm

In this weeklong class, students will learn the basics of comic book illustration and develop their own comic books. Register Online

Painting inspired by Joe Bradley (Ages 13–17)
Monday, July 31, 2017, 1–4 pm

In this half-day workshop, students will create paintings inspired the work of artist Joe Bradley and his exhibition on view at the museum. Register Online

Pen and Ink Drawing inspired by the Collection (Ages 13–17)
Tuesday, August 1, 2017, 1–4 pm

$30 / $20 for Members (supplies and snacks included)

In this half-day workshop, students will create various pen-and-ink drawings inspired by the special exhibition Drawing: The Beginning of Everything. Register Online

Prints (Ages 13–17)
Wednesday, August 2, 2017, 1–4 pm

In this half-day workshop, students will learn the basics of printmaking. Register Online

Ceramics (Ages 13–17)
Thursday, August 3, 2017, 1–4 pm

In this half-day workshop, students will create their own ceramic works. (Projects will be fired; please note that project pickup dates will be arranged later in the month to accommodate kiln firing schedules.) Register Online

AK Teens Building a Portfolio Art Classes (Ages 14–18)

Each session: $175 (supplies and snacks included)

Students ages 14–18 who are becoming serious about the visual arts or are preparing for college applications are invited to sign up for this intensive, artist-led art class. The class is designed to help students develop skills and style in drawing, painting, and sculpture, and complete several pieces that could be included in a portfolio for college admission.

The registration deadline for each class is one week before the class begins. Scholarships are also available.
