Arts Work for Autistic Services: Selected Education Program Work, Past and Present (Education Exhibition)
Tuesday, April 24–Sunday, June 3, 2012
On View in the Education Exhibition Corridor
This year, the Arts Work Program at Autistic Services, Inc. celebrates its 10th anniversary. The program was created in the fall of 2002. The Arts Work mission is to give people with autism the opportunity to get involved in the visual and performing arts. Communication is one of the challenges our participants face each day; visual art provides them a preferred means of expression. Artists are given many choices and encouraged to try new things, but the main objective is for them to find materials they feel comfortable with and create artmaking processes of their own.
The museum is closed. Please visit us tomorrow between 10 am and 5 pm.
