Renowned Argentine mixed-media “painter of space” Guillermo Kuitca and Chief Curator Douglas Dreishpoon discuss Kuitca’s body of work in celebration of the opening of Guillermo Kuitca: Everything, Paintings and Works on Paper, 1980–2008, the first comprehensive survey of the artist’s work to circulate in the United States in more than ten years.

Join us for the Aurora at the Albright-Knox film series, featuring 50 Dead Men Walking, with writer/director Kari Skogland. Inspired by Martin McGartland’s autobiography and starring Ben Kingsley, Jim Sturgess, and Kevin Zegers, 50 Dead Men Walking explores the historic era of violent clashes between IRA terrorists and British “army invaders” in Northern Ireland during the 1980s. A Pre-film Talk with Curator of Education Mariann Smith features Irish art during “The Troubles.” Tickets are FREE for Members and $5 for non-members and are available at the Admissions Desk.
