Forty years after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, remember his message of peace and love by making peace flags in the style of Tibetan prayer flags.

In recognition of the 40th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, come watch a PBS documentary with special interviews from Dr.King’s wife, children, and close friends. Hear his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.

Performance: Configuration Dance “What’s the Pointe?”

Configuration Dance’s world-class performances have been described as elegant and daring, innately classical yet boundary-expanding. The troupe’s creation of Configuration Dance innovatively melds classical ballet with contemporary dance to create physically challenging and artistically compelling performances.

Performance: Fluxus

Just Buffalo Literary Center and The Poetry Collection at SUNY Buffalo present Fluxus at the Knox, an evening of performance art featuring founding Fluxus member Alison Knowles, Michael Basinski's Buffluxus, and local student performance artists. Fluxus is an international network of artists, composers, and designers noted for blending different artistic media since the 1960s. Similar in spirit to the earlier art movement of Dada, Fluxus emphasizes the concept of anti-art and taking jabs at the seriousness of modern art.
