Film: Easy Rider (1969). Directed by Dennis Hopper (95 mins.)
Enjoy a screening of the classic 1969 film directed by Dennis Hopper starring Hopper and Peter Fonda that tells the tale of a search for freedom in a corrupt America on the heels of the collapsing idealistic sixties. Wyatt and Billy, two “counterculture bikers,” head east from Los Angeles to Mardi Gras in New Orleans in search of America. Fittingly, the film’s slogan states, “A man went looking for America and couldn’t find it anywhere.” With a story full of sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll, this film is sure to take you back to the Summer of Love.
