Captured—2014 AK Teens: Future Curators Exhibition Opening

On Thursday, May 1, 2014, the 2014 AK Teens: Future Curators presented the opening celebration of their exhibition, A Study in Action/Reaction, for family, friends, and special guests. After remarks by Albright-Knox Art Gallery Board President Tom Hyde, Peggy Pierce Elfvin Director Dr. Janne Sirén, First Niagara President and Chief Financial Officer Gary Crosby, and Curator of Education and Community Engagement Jessica DiPalma, guests enjoyed music by a string quartet and jazz duo from Williamsville East High School and tours by the Future Curators. The exhibition is organized by the Future Curators, a group of Western New York teens, and features works created by teen artists from Western New York and Southern Ontario. A Study in Action/Reaction is on view through June 8, 2014, in the Gallery for Small Sculpture. A second opening celebration will take place at the Larkin Art Gallery on May 6, 2014, at 4 pm.

AK Teens is presented by the First Niagara Foundation.
