The Gallery's summer fundraiser Collision, on Thursday, June 21, was a great party and a huge success! The event celebrated our 150th anniversary year and the special exhibition Wish You Were Here: The Buffalo Avant-garde in the 1970s.

More than 750 guests were invited to check out 1970s classic cars from the collections of Al Forster, Bill Magavern, and John Yurtchuk; tour Wish You Were Here with featured artists and the Gallery’s curators; and get down on the original Saturday Night Fever dance floor, made by Buffalo’s Litelab in 1977, to music by DJ Alexandra Spaulding.

“Retro gourmet” fare was generously provided by Presenting Sponsor Rich’s Catering and beverages were generously provided by Belvedere Vodka, North American Breweries, and Terrazas.

The Gallery also extends its appreciation to Presenting Sponsor First Niagara and event chairs Dan and Lori Cantara, Bill and Mary Gisel, Nancy and Greg Stevens, John and Carolyn Yurtchuk, and Margie and Larry Whistler.

Special thanks to everyone who attended and had a blast!
