Captured: The 150th Anniversary Gala
November 7, 2011
On Saturday, November 5, the Albright-Knox hosted a special fundraiser kicking off the 150th Anniversary of the Gallery and the opening of the major exhibition The Long Curve: 150 Years of Visionary Collecting at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.
The evening included a cocktail reception in the Sculpture Court of the 1905 Albright Building, with music by Natural Elements, dinner in the Lower Galleries of the 1962 Knox Building, and desserts and dancing to the music of Twilight in the Sculpture Court.
Hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dessert, and service were generously provided by Presenting Sponsor Delaware North Companies; champagne and beverages were generously provided by Moët & Chandon; and décor was generously provided by The Floristry.
The Gallery also extends its appreciation to Presenting Sponsor First Niagara and event co-chairs Kate and Steve Foley, Lisa and Scott Friedman, and Jody Ulrich and Gerald Lippes.
The Long Curve: 150 Years of Visionary Collecting at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery is on view at the Albright-Knox through Sunday, March 4, 2012.
The museum is closed. Please visit us tomorrow between 10 am and 5 pm.
