AK Teens Portfolio Review Sessions and Panel Discussion
April 5, 2013
The Albright-Knox is pleased to offer a new program, AK Teens, presented by First Niagara. On Sunday, April 21, 2013, the Gallery will host AK Teens Portfolio Review Sessions and a panel discussion, “Career Chat: Working in the Visual Arts.”
The AK Teens Portfolio Review Sessions will give high school students the opportunity to have their work reviewed and critiqued by area artists and fine arts professors. The sessions will take place from 10:15 am to 3 pm, and are open to students in grades nine through twelve. Participation is free, but space is limited and registration is required by Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Learn More and Register
The AK Teens Panel Discussion, “Career Chat: Working in the Visual Arts,” will take place after the portfolio review sessions from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Panelists from the visual arts, academia, and museums will discuss educational and career opportunities in the arts. This event is open to all participants of the portfolio review sessions, as well as parents, guidance counselors, teachers, and the general public. It is free for high school students (with a valid student ID) and their families, free for Members, and free with Gallery admission for non-members.
We hope to see many local teens here on Sunday, April 21, for one or both of these great opportunities.
The museum is closed. Please visit us tomorrow between 10 am and 5 pm.
