Albright-Knox Director Janne Sirén to Present Special Family Program, Invites Children to Bring their Artwork
April 30, 2013
Buffalo, NY – The Albright-Knox Art Gallery will host an afternoon of art, music, stories, and more on Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 2 to 4 pm. The Albright-Knox’s new director, Janne Sirén, will present “The Adventures of Augen, Part I,” an original narrative about the world of art told through stories, music, and interactive looking. The Gallery invites the entire community from across Western New York and Southern Ontario to welcome Dr. Sirén as the eleventh director of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and join him on a visual journey in an exciting, fun-filled afternoon.
Following the program, refreshments will be served in the Sculpture Garden. Recommended for children ages 6–12, all kids will have the opportunity to share their original artwork with Dr. Sirén. He will also be available to answer questions, and families will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the new director. “I am very much looking forward to seeing the creativity and talents of Western New York and Southern Ontario’s next generation. This is going to be fun, and I invite the entire community to join us on June 15,” Sirén said today.
“The Adventures of Augen, Part I” is FREE for Gallery Members and is included with Gallery admission for non-members. This afternoon of family fun is made possible through the generous support of The Cameron and Jane Baird Foundation.
The museum is closed. Please visit us tomorrow between 10 am and 5 pm.
