Monumental New Sculpture to be named at Albright-Knox; Landmark Exhibition to open

A massive event at the Gallery: the official naming and lighting of the new installation by the artist Nancy Rubins and the opening of Videosphere: A New Generation, the largest exhibition of works in new media ever organized from a single art collection.

Background:
M&T Bank and Rich’s Catering are presenting a unique event, “atmosphere,” at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, celebrating a landmark new sculpture on Elmwood Avenue, and the opening of a major exhibition.  The name of the new sculpture—by the artist Nancy Rubins—that has been drawing a lot of attention throughout the community will be announced at the event.  More than 1,000 guests are expected.
