Major Grant Award from New York State Supports Urgently Needed Conservation; Restoration of Historic Grand Staircase at the Albright-Knox Begins
The Albright-Knox Art Gallery today broke ground on a major conservation project, and announced it has been awarded an important grant by the New York State Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) and the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation for essential repairs to the Grand Staircase of the Gallery’s historic 1905 Albright Building.

Jonathan VanDyke will perform The Long Glance, beginning May 28; Performance will last for forty hours
A remarkable performance will take place at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery from Saturday, May 28, through Thursday, June 2, 2011. The artist Jonathan VanDyke will perform The Long Glance, a piece for which he will contemplate Jackson Pollock’s seminal work Convergence, 1952, for forty hours over five days.

raw, this year’s exhibition of works by area teens, curated and organized by their peers through the Future Curators Teen Program, will open on Friday, May 6, 2011, and remain on view through Sunday, July 3, 2011.
