A. Visitor Information. When visitors visit the pages of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery websites, they may be asked to give us contact information, such as their names and email addresses. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the visitor for membership drives and shop AK purchases.
B. Our sites use order forms for visitors to request information, products, and services. Contact information from the order forms, such as a visitor’s email address, is used to send orders and information about our museum to our visitors.
C. Our online surveys ask visitors for contact information (such as their email addresses) and demographic information (such as zip codes, age, or income levels). We use contact data from our surveys to send information about our museum to our visitors. We use demographic and profile data to tailor our sites and program content according to our visitors’ interests and preferences. The visitor’s contact information is used to contact the visitor when necessary. In all cases above, visitors may opt out of receiving future mailings that may result from providing email addresses. See the Choice to Opt Out section below.
D. Our sites may also record the visitor’s IP address, which helps us diagnose problems with our server and administer our website. Your IP address also is used to gather broad demographic information. If you are a Member of any of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery programs, we will use a “cookie” to save your settings and provide your own personalized information. Cookies are tiny data files that are placed on your hard drive when you visit some websites. Only information that you specifically supply, such as a visitor ID, will be included in the cookie.
E. Public Forums. Please remember that any information that you disclose in Albright-Knox Art Gallery public areas of the Internet becomes public information. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose personal information.
F. Security. Our sites have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control.
H. Choice to Opt Out. Our sites provide visitors the opportunity to opt out of receiving communications from us and our partners at the point where we request information about the visitor.
I. Change/Modify. Our sites give visitors options for changing and modifying information previously provided. To make or inquire about such changes, please send an email to email@example.com.
