ALPHONSO O’NEIL-WHITE
President and CEO, HealthNow New York, Inc.

Alphonso O’Neil-White is President and Chief Executive Officer of HealthNow New York, Inc., a premier healthcare company in Upstate New York, with annual revenues at $2.5 billion. HealthNow is a BlueCross BlueShield Association licensee in Western New York and in New York’s capitol district, Northeastern New York.

O’Neil-White joined the company in 1996. Since assuming leadership in 2003, he has led the company’s dramatic turnaround, and is credited with returning it to a position of consistent profitability and market leadership.

Prior to joining HealthNow, O’Neil-White served as Vice President for the trade group now known as America’s Health Insurance Plans; he was also Senior Labor Counsel for Humana, Inc., and General Counsel for one of the nation’s first HMOs, Group Health Association, Inc.  

O’Neil-White serves as a trustee and director on many local and national boards, including the world renowned Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and the National Institute for Healthcare Management. He chairs the Upstate Regional Advisory Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (having served formerly as chair of the board of the Buffalo Branch of the Bank), and is chair of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
