Event Recap
On Thursday, March 24, 2011, the Gallery hosted a Members’ Preview and Reception for the special exhibition Spotlight on the Collection—Artists in Depth: Arp, Miró, Calder, presented by The Buffalo News. The exhibition features a complete display of all works in the Albright-Knox's Collection by Jean (Hans) Arp, Joan Miró, and Alexander Calder, three modern masters who pushed color, line, and form beyond convention.
The Members’ Preview and Reception included self-guided tours of the exhibition in the Clifton Hall Link; remarks by President of the Board of Directors of The Buffalo Fine Arts Academy Leslie H. Zemsky and the exhibition’s organizer, Curator for the Collection Holly E. Hughes; and a reception in Clifton Hall.
Spotlight on the Collection—Artists in Depth: Arp, Miró, Calder, presented by The Buffalo News, is on view at the Albright-Knox through Sunday, April 15, 2012.
