About Bill Strickland
Inspired by his high school art teacher, Bill Strickland created the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, an after-school program focused on the arts, while still a college student at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1971, Strickland assumed leadership of Pittsburgh’s Bidwell Training Center, which helps young people and adults develop skills designed to make them competitive applicants in their local job market. Manchester Bidwell Corporation (the parent company of the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild and the Bidwell Training Center) has become a national model for education, culture, and hope.
The museum is closed. Please visit us tomorrow between 10 am and 5 pm.
