2014 Art’scool “Inspired” Exhibition Opening

Thursday, May 15, 2014, 4–7 pm

Rachel Lyons’s high school students at Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts collaborated to create an acrylic painting inspired by Ryan J. McGinness’s work Something About the Collapse of Art & Language, 2013. The students’ painting, Something About the Collaboration Between Art and Language, explores relationships among English Language Arts, technology, and art.

Please join BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery at a special community reception celebrating the opening of the 2014 Art'scool “Inspired” exhibition. The 2014 Art'scool “Inspired” contest encouraged teachers whose students visited the museum to show us how they connected their museum visit to their work in the classroom. Winning entries will be on view and awards will be presented. The exhibition of winning entries will be on view through Sunday, June 15, 2014.

Students, teachers, families, and the public are all invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

RSVP by Monday, May 12, to Lindsay Kranz at lkranz@albrightknox.org.
