Gallery Members are invited to join us for a preview and reception celebrating the special exhibitions Full Color Depression: First Kodachromes from America’s Heartland, Victoria Sambunaris: Taxonomy of a Landscape, and virocode: A Disappearance of the Source.

Full Color Depression: First Kodachromes from America’s Heartland is organized by Bruce Jackson, SUNY Distinguished Professor and James Agee Professor of American Culture, University at Buffalo, and Curator for the Collection Holly E. Hughes. It is presented in cooperation with The Humanities Institute, University at Buffalo, and the Prints and Photographs Division, Library of Congress.
Victoria Sambunaris: Taxonomy of a Landscape is organized by Christie Mazuera Davis, Program Director, Contemporary Art and Public Programs, Lannan Foundation, and Curator for the Collection Holly E. Hughes. It is presented in collaboration with Lannan Foundation, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and supported, in part, by Roberta and Michael Joseph.
virocode: A Disappearance of the Source is organized by Curator Heather Pesanti for the Gallery for New Media.
Event Recap
On Thursday, October 20, the Gallery hosted a Members’ Preview and Reception for the special exhibitions Victoria Sambunaris: Taxonomy of a Landscape, Full Color Depression: First Kodachromes from America’s Heartland, and virocode: A Disappearance of the Source.
The evening included tours of the exhibitions by Victoria Sambunaris, Bruce Jackson, and virocode’s Andrea Mancuso and Peter D’Auria; remarks by Albright-Knox Director Louis Grachos and Buffalo Fine Arts Academy Board President Leslie Zemsky; and a reception in the Sculpture Court of the 1905 Albright Building.
