Event Recap

On Thursday, November 17, the Gallery hosted a Members’ Reception for the special exhibition The Long Curve: 150 Years of Visionary Collecting at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. The evening included tours by Chief Curator Douglas Dreishpoon, who organized the exhibition; Head of Research Resources Susana Tejada, who organized the section of the exhibition about the Gallery's Room of Contemporary Art; Curator of Education Mariann Smith; and Curatorial Assistant Ilana Chlebowski.

The Long Curve: 150 Years of Visionary Collecting at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery is on view at the Albright-Knox through Sunday, March 4, 2012. The exhibition catalogue—with essays by Dreishpoon and Tejada, texts on each of the works by Smith, and a timeline of the Gallery's 150-year history by Curator for the Collection Holly E. Hughes—is available in shop AK, and a companion website is available at www.albrightknox.org/collection/search/thelongcurve.
