“Notes from Distant Shores: The Immigrant Influx Into Western New York and How It Shaped Modern Music and the Fabric of Our Community” (A special presentation of Forgotten Buffalo, www.forgottenbuffalo.com)
Concert, 8 pm
Since arriving in New York in 1981, Niagara Falls native Pete Malinverni (www.petemalinverni.com) has established himself as a jazz pianist with few peers, recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts as a composer of great depth and individuality and by critics and fans alike for the pure “elegant approachability” of his playing (All About Jazz). With his trio featuring master drummer Eliot Zigmund, best known for his work with Bill Evans and Michel Petrucciani, each Malinverni concert is a singular musical experience of lyrical grace and joyful exploration.
Series Tickets: $90 for four concerts for Members / $116 for four concerts for non-members
Individual Tickets: $25 per concert for Members / $29 per concert for non-members
Tickets can be purchased at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery Admissions Desk or online at MuseumTix.com. Concerts often sell out in advance of each performance, so please order tickets early to avoid disappointment.
