    Although the Gallery is usually closed on New Year's Day, it will be open on Saturday, January 1, 2011, from 10 am to 5 pm. The unscheduled opening will allow visitors in Buffalo for the 2011 IIHF World Junior Championship to enjoy the museum during the break in games on the Holiday.

    Scribble: A Monumental Celebration

    On Saturday, October 16, 2010, the Gallery hosted a fundraiser celebrating the completion of our commissioned Sol LeWitt scribble wall drawing. The 2,200-square-foot drawing—the largest ever conceived by LeWitt—comprises millions of graphite scribbles made by a crew of sixteen artists working for more than 5,000 hours.
