Hours & Access
The primary mission of the G. Robert Strauss, Jr. Memorial Library is to support the research needs of Gallery staff and affiliates. As a research collection, circulation is limited to Gallery staff only. We are open to Gallery Members and researchers as a reading library only.

Member Access
Public use of the Library is a privilege of Gallery membership. The Library is open to our Members by appointment only on Fridays from 3 to 5 pm. Please call 716.270.8240 to make an appointment, at least one day in advance.
Researcher Access
The Library is open to researchers by special arrangement. We also welcome any reference questions by phone. Please contact 716.270.8240 or artref@albrightknox.org for more information.
Library patrons must complete and sign a researcher registration form and follow established procedures for the preservation and security of materials.
Digital Access
Digital access to the Gallery’s Library Collection is provided through AKAT. This online catalogue allows for basic and advanced searching of the Library’s rich and varied holding.
The Library likewise participates in initiatives to make portions of its collections more accessible to the community, including projects to digitize Gallery publications such as Academy Notes, historic exhibition catalogues, and unique archival materials. The Library reading room offers two terminals with connections to the Internet and access to its online subscription databases.
Materials from Albright Art Gallery exhibitions during the late 1800s and early 1900s may be found on the Gallery's Flickr page. View Materials
