Wall -to-wall eyes followed visitors as they created a stage set and watched themselves on camera. The Interactive Room housed four hand-painted backdrops inspired by artworks in the Gallery's collection. The floor was riddled with oversized objects cut from Styrofoam and covered with plaster gauze. The objects, each of photographic detail from works in the permanent collection, were also mirrored in the eyes on the walls. Objects included a bunch of bananas, a book, a guitar, and a set of eyebrows, inspired by the self-portrait of Frida Kahlo. Attendance: 16,392 Made possible through the generous support of HealthCarePlan. |
