Artwork by a student in Artpark's Artcamp

Education Exhibition Hallway

Media features artworks created by young artists aged eight to fourteen who participated in Artpark’s Artcamp in July 2019. The weeklong classes were led by local artists Brian Nacov, Connor Caso, Hilary McAndrew, Megan Tenney, Tanis Winslow, and Richard Tomasello.

The goal of Artcamp is to enable each student to create in a space that allows for personal freedom, with guidance and suggestions, so that young artists can develop mastery of their artistic style and media.

Students used materials such as red clay, cardboard, spray paint, acrylic paint, modeling clay, sharpie marker, watercolor, and leather. They often demonstrated a sense of pride in their artistic expressions and were eager to participate in future art activities.

Admission to this exhibition is free on M&T FIRST FRIDAYS @ THE GALLERY.
