Summer Art Classes for Ages 6–8

Weeklong Sessions

Art Explorers
Monday, July 8–Friday, July 12, 2019, 9 am–4 pm

$300 / $260 for Members (supplies and snacks included)

Young artists will explore a variety of media over the course of this weeklong all-day class. Each day students will try something new, from painting and printmaking to drawing and music. (Students are asked to bring a bagged lunch each day.) Register Online

Ceramics
Monday, August 12–Friday, August 16, 2019, 9 am–noon

$185 / $160 for Members (supplies and snacks included)

Students in this weeklong half-day program will learn the basics of ceramics and create different works using various techniques. (Projects will be fired; please note that project pickup dates will be arranged to accommodate kiln firing schedules.) Register Online

Half-Day Workshops

Adventures in Printmaking 
Monday, July 29, 2019, 9 am–noon

$40 / $35 for Members (supplies and snacks included)

In this half-day workshop, students will learn printmaking techniques and create their own print masterpieces inspired by works in the museum’s collection. Register Online

Adventures in Ceramics 
Tuesday, July 30, 2019, 9 am–noon

$40 / $35 for Members (supplies and snacks included)

In this half-day workshop, students will create their own masterpieces with clay. (Projects will be fired; please note that project pickup dates will be arranged later in the month to accommodate kiln firing schedules.) Register Online

Adventures in Drawing 
Wednesday, July 31, 2019, 9 am–noon

$40 / $35 for Members (supplies and snacks included)

In this half-day workshop, students will explore basic drawing techniques such as shading and use various media, including pencils, charcoal, pastels, pen, and ink. This class is sold out!

Adventures in Sculpture
Thursday, August 1, 2019, 9 am–noon

$40 / $35 for Members (supplies and snacks included)

In this half-day workshop, students will create their own 3D sculptures using materials that are all around us. Register Online
