Join us for discussion, curriculum connections, and activities inspired by the special exhibition Open House: Domestic Thresholds with Heather Hart, Edra Soto, and Rodney Taylor, on view at Albright-Knox Northland. The artworks on view by these three artists say something about what “home” means to them.

Begin with a guided tour with School and Docent Programs Coordinator Lindsay Kranz to discover how to use the artworks in this exhibition as a catalyst for student-centered learning. After exploring curriculum connections, the workshop will continue with a quick hands-on art activity to support lesson plan development.

Then, the Buffalo Museum of Science will facilitate a STEM activity designed to explore concepts of energy conservation using everyday items to insulate a cardboard house and test its efficiency.
