Join us for an evening of storytelling with Tradition Keepers: Black Storytellers of Western New York.

Since 1995, Tradition Keepers: Black Storytellers of Western New York has participated in Juneteenth Buffalo, Kwanzaa Buffalo, Jefferson Avenue Renaissance Arts Festival, Amistad Tour, Toronto Storytelling Festival, Niagara Falls Freedom Trail Festival, Rochester Intergenerational Storytelling Festival, and more. The group has co-sponsored Buffalo's Tell Me a Story storytelling festival, Western New York’s Tellabration!, and Buffalo’s Peace on Earth Month. Tradition Keepers' Git on Da Bus! storytelling crawl has become a very popular pre-Juneteenth community event; for more than a decade, this “mystery tour” has highlighted storytelling and local Black history.
