Join us for Sunday Insights, where community members relate their work and experience to the art on view. Docent John D’Arcangelo will regale visitors with tales from the New York arts scene, including stories of artists whose works are featured in Giant Steps: Artists and the 1960s.
About the Speaker
John D'Arcangelo is a Buffalo native and has been a docent at the Albright-Knox since 2015. He is a former art educator and costume designer. In his many reincarnations, he studied in Italy; lived in Paris for ten years; worked with Robert Wilson and Philip Glass; and is the cousin of Allan D'Arcangelo, whose work is on view in Giant Steps: Artists and the 1960s. He is passionate about being a docent and is an enthusiastic supporter of the Albright-Knox, its mission, and place in the world.
