Join us for Sunday Insights, where community members relate their work and experience to the art on view. Northland Beltline Taxpayers Association President Beverly Crowell will discuss the Northland Corridor Redevelopment Project and the exhibition Open House: Domestic Thresholds by Heather Hart, Edra Soto, and Rodney Taylor.

About the Speaker

A black and white photograph of an African American womanBeverly Crowell is currently serving her second term as president of the Northland Beltline Taxpayers Association, which was formed in 2015. When Buffalo Mayor Bryon W. Brown, along with New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, announced the Northland Corridor Redevelopment, Crowell saw it as the perfect opportunity to organize the area residents so that that their voices would be heard regarding what was needed to make the Corridor not just a manufacturing and educational environment, but also to bring back a thriving neighborhood.

This event is presented on the occasion of Open House: Domestic Thresholds by Heather Hart, Edra Soto, and Rodney Taylor, which features projects that explore how people build connections to others both inside and outside the walls of those structures we call home.
