Dr. Hanson will highlight the thematic and temporal similarities between these two works and their place in Picasso’s oeuvre.

While this lecture is free with special museum admission, we ask you to please buy a ticket for the exhibition for the time of the lecture (Saturday, November 12, at 11:30 am). (Please note: Ticketholders for The Artist and His Models Gala do not need to purchase an exhibition ticket to attend this talk.)

Picasso: The Artist and His Models features paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints by Pablo Picasso from the Albright-Knox's collection alongside iconic paintings on loan from museums in both Europe and the United States, exploring the career of this protean artist between 1906 and the mid-1960s. It is on view from November 5, 2016, to February 19, 2017.
