Emily Schuler (fourth grade). Henri Matisse.

On View in the Education Exhibition Hallway

This exhibition features artwork created by three hundred kindergarten through fourth-grade students at Maple West Elementary School in Williamsville. With the guidance of their art teacher Meghan Doherty and Buffalo State student-teacher Juliana Curtis, students created multimedia sculptures, clay sculptures, collages, and paintings. The students’ curriculum, designed by Doherty, focuses on a variety of cultures, artists, techniques, and materials.

An opening reception for student artists and their families will be held on Friday, July 5, from 5 to 7 pm.

Admission to this exhibition is free on M&T FIRST FRIDAYS @ THE GALLERY.
