Healing Hearts: From Hurt to Hope (Education Exhibition)

Healing Hearts: From Hurt to Hope features the work of student artists in kindergarten through twelfth grade from eight local school districts. The artworks created for this exhibition reflect and call attention to the need for anti-bullying awareness.

This endeavor was initiated by art teachers Kelly Tomasello and Rich Tomasello, and facilitated by the following local art teachers: Amanda Alvarez from Starpoint Middle School, Denise Carr from Kenmore East High School, Brad Curcio from Williamsville North High School, Heidi Hildreth from Anna Merritt Elementary School in Lockport, Christina Klein from Amherst Middle School, Jamie Kubala from Herbert Hoover Middle School in Ken-Ton, Ryan McCaffery from Sweet Home Middle School, Lisa Pavlak and Pat Root from Starpoint Fricano Primary, Tracy Fitzery Rose from North Park Middle Academy in Buffalo, Dave Rogalski from Kenmore West High School, Matt SaGurney and student teacher Jane Stevenson from Kenmore East High School, Mary Saternus from Mary Queen of Angels in Cheektowaga, Darryl Swanson from Kenmore Middle School, Rich Tomasello from Thomas A. Edison Elementary School in Ken-Ton, and Darlene Garcia Torres and Kate Ross from Squeaky Wheel.

A closing reception will be held on Saturday, September 28, from 2 to 4:30 pm.

Admission to this exhibition is free on M&T FIRST FRIDAYS @ THE GALLERY.
