On Friday, October 5, the Gallery hosted the first large-scale 3D video projection mapping project in Western New York for a great crowd from our community. This celebration of the Gallery’s 150th anniversary was presented free for all as part of M&T FIRST FRIDAYS @ THE GALLERY

Guests experienced the Delaware façade of the 1905 Albright Building transformed through a custom projected video which combined highlights from the Gallery’s Collection and never-before-seen images from the archives with colorful abstract animations. The festivities also included music by Projex, a caravan of local food trucks, and an opportunity to decorate and submit PARTICIPATE coloring cards for the upcoming exhibition Color 150

None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our many sponsors. The Gallery extends a special thanks to Presenting Sponsors M&T Bank and The Advantage Company and everyone who helped make the evening a huge success!
