Vincent Price at the Albright-Knox
October 25, 2012
In honor of Halloween next week, we’ve dug up some photos of the famous horror film actor Vincent Price visiting the Albright-Knox Art Gallery on October 18, 1963.
Price viewed the Gallery’s Fine Art Collection and even took time to sign a few autographs. At least three of the works he saw—Gustave Courbet’s La Source de la Loue (The Source of the Loue), ca. 1864 (in the background of the image to the right), as well as Roberto Matta’s Card Players, ca. 1957, and William Baziotes’s White Bird, 1957 (on the left and right, respectively, of the image below)—are on view at the Gallery for this 2012 Halloween season.
The museum is closed. Please visit us tomorrow between 10 am and 5 pm.
