Upcoming Art Truck Events

Buffalo, NY – Today the Albright-Knox has announced upcoming events with our Art Truck, a mobile center for hands-on artmaking that brings art activities, classes, and workshops for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of ability into the communities of Western New York.

Art Truck: Architecture Adventures at Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House:
July 10, 10:30 am–12 pm

Join the Martin House and the Albright-Knox Art Truck for Architecture Adventures! This free program will begin with an outdoor exploration of the Martin House's historic landscape, including the public art exhibition The Space Between: Frank Lloyd Wright | Jun Kaneko. Then, participants will explore the ways art can be made with drips and drops, inspired by Kaneko’s massive sculptures placed around the Martin House's grounds. Learn More

Art Truck at Albright-Knox Northland: July 10, 1–5 pm

Join us for FREE outdoor artmaking activities inspired by Hervé Tullet: Shape and Color with the Art Truck in the parking lot of Albright-Knox Northland. From 1 to 3 pm, participate in a hands-on artmaking activity; from 3 to 5 pm, pick up an art kit with supplies for artmaking at home, while supplies last. Vaccination pop-up clinic at Albright-Knox Northland: July 10, 1–5 pm

First-dose Pfizer (youth ages 12-18) or single-dose Johnson & Johnson (ages 18+) vaccines will be available. Parental consent required for ages 12-17. Free. Registration suggested, walk-ins welcome. Bring photo ID. Call 716.858.2929 or visit www.erie.gov/vax for an appointment. Learn More

Art Truck at Storytime at Canalside—Paint the Town: Buffalo Art
Presented by EPIC (Every Person Influences Children):
July 14, 10:30–11:30 am

This summer's "Storytime at Canalside: A Bicentennial Celebration" series is all about celebrating Erie County’s 200 years, with special guest readers and weekly themes to represent the many different facets of Buffalo. On July 14, families will hear a story read by a guest reader, observe a live science experiment with the Buffalo Museum of Science, get an art kit from the Albright-Knox's Art Truck, engage in imaginative play with Explore & More Children's Museum, and do a movement activity with the JCC or the YMCA. Art Truck at Locust Street Art's Family Funday Inspired by Hervé Tullet: Shape and Color:
July 17, 10 am–12:30 pm

Join in the fun with an artmaking extravaganza at Locust Street Art. Participants of all ages are invited to create artworks to take home, as well as works that will be incorporated into the special exhibition Hervé Tullet: Shape and Color at Albright-Knox Northland. Locust Street Art’s yard will turn into an oasis of various activities.
