Beauty, Life, and Spirit: A Celebration of Greek Culture and DECADE: Contemporary Collecting 2002–2012

Thursday, October 11, 2012, 4–7 pm

FREE for Educators

Drop by the Gallery after school to experience an outstanding combination of the old and the new. Beauty, Life, and Spirit: A Celebration of Greek Culture is the result of a collaboration with the Buffalo Museum of Science in which objects from ancient Greece are juxtaposed with more contemporary works inspired by Greek culture. DECADE: Contemporary Collecting 2002–2012 is an exhibition filled with some of the Gallery’s latest acquisitions and celebrates the broad range of new media open to artists of the twenty-first century.

Join us to view the exhibitions on your own or take a tour guided by a museum educator, learn about our educational resources designed to accompany these exhibitions, meet with colleagues, take advantage of a discount in Shop AK, and enjoy refreshments in AK Café.

We will be offering the following three tours. Join one, two, or all three!
