Christmas Tree Lighting and Performance by the Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus
Sunday, December 16, 2012, 3 pm
FREE for Members / FREE with Gallery admission for non-members
Please join us for the official lighting of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery’s traditional Christmas Tree and a concert of holiday favorites by the Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus.
This year, the tree will be installed in the Gallery’s magnificent Sculpture Court and will once again feature our eighteenth-century Neapolitan Crèche, given in memory of Helen Northrup Knox by her close friend the late Mrs. Howell H. Howard. This set of Crèche figurines is one of only three in the United States, with the other two in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the White House.
Following the concert and tree lighting, you are cordially invited to AK Café for special holiday beverages and cookies, from 4 to 5 pm.
The museum is closed. Please visit us tomorrow between 10 am and 5 pm.
